Volunteer Opportunities:

The following are volunteer opportunities available with the ADAPTING nonprofit organization. Please remember, we can not be successful without this active support of the volunteers helping ADAPTING.

Many of our projects would not be feasible technically, or financially without you the volunteer.

We encourage as many as possible to volunteer their time and share their lives with us. You are our family.

Positions Available:

Volunteer Position #1: A computer technician to sweep hard drives clean and load operating systems on computers arriving at our facility. This position will require 4 to 10 hours a week of time and all work will be at the Nellie Sherk Amputee Activity Center. Click on the Contact link at left for our address and a map locating the building. Call first for more information.

Volunteer Position #2: Activites Committee Member- several volunteers are needed to arrange for various activities of the nonprofit. These activites are for sports events, social events, fundraising activities and more. About 4 to 6 hours a week would be required for this work.

Volunteer Position #3: Bi-lingual Translator required. Individuals that speak both French and English for our activities related to Cameroon and the street kids project there. Time requirements will vary with these assignments.

Volunteer Position #4: Maintenance Helpers. Must be familiar with the usage of tools and equipment related to building maintenence. About 4 hours a week is required for this project work.

Volunteer Position #5: Advisory Committee Members for joint venture overseas projects.

Volunteer Position #6: Nutritionist: A degreed, registered nutritionist is required for future project work.

Volunteer Position #7: Filled.

Volunteer Position #8: Volunteers with some TV studio experience are needed. Free training is available. Possible travel to third world countries highly probable for the right individuals.

The following positions are financially compensated:

Marketing, advertising and sales positions are available. All positions will require training by Adapting staff. No experience is required for the sales positions. The sales positions include door to door activities.

FREE transportation in and around Clackamas County to and from the Adapting activities is provided by a Clackamas County volunteer group.
